Rule number one.... guys -never- want to hear you talk about another guy. As much as you think the world revolves around you and therefore everybody wants to hear about the hot guy.... no, we don't. Not only does it affect our self esteem, it screams "hey, pay attention to me!" which makes us think less of you.
If we ask, the rules completely change. This means we want to try and help you because well, not only does your being sad usually make us sad, we enjoy making people feel better. It gives us, or at least me, a good feeling. Even when I have to try and cheer up a girl who's pissed about a guy, and the only way to cheer her up is to make her happy with him.
It's hardest when all I really want is her. And the only way to make her happy.... is to get her back with him.
