Two nights ago, I learned how to grasp my superconcious. On command.
I don't get the full control Matty has been talking about, nor do I think I ever will - I expect anybody who learns to open their mind up will reach different areas first, and in different orders, or for different overall ability. But I most definately have learned to touch a part of my brain that I didn't know was there before - thus, I call my superconcious.
It's a weird sensation .... I can't describe how I do it, and it would probably be useless for you anyhow, but I can like put myself into this trance, where the world around me feels very different, and sensations I would never feel otherwise are glaringly obvious. Conversely I block out most of the normal sensations and all I feel is the paranormal. I can lose track of a crowd, or noises around me. It's almost like self hypnosis.
I've debated trying to treat it as hypnosis - try to program myself, like to alleviate bad habits. It kinda scares me though that it might work, and more dangerously it might work and I might fuck up. I think I'm going to try and spend more time in that trance, see if I can explore it more, bridge the worlds. The interesting part is I've gotten to the point where I can do it anywhere, any time, I've been doing it several times a day. I've tried using it to fall asleep, but I absolutely can't - since my superconcious feels like the combination of my concious AND my subconcious, I can't just shut off my concious once I'm there and go into subconcious. Well, I mean, I might be able to, but I tried, and I haven't been able to do it. It would be amazing to be able to fall asleep at will though. I'm going to try and explore it more.
