So I've also been reading the ENTIRE timeline of Major League Baseball "firsts," and one stuck out to me near the end (that is, besides the three I remembered actually witnessing):

On July 3, 1966, Tony Cloninger became the first pitcher to hit two grand slams during the same game. On June 2, 2002, Robert Person nearly tied this record, but instead became the first pitcher in history to hit a grand slam and three-run homer in the same game.

Next week... both of these pitchers may be suiting up for the Red Sox together. Sounds like good karma, and our bullpen sure as hell could use sme of that.
