Matty - the reason I support our troops and not this war is because the vast majority of our troops did not enlist BECAUSE of this war. They enlisted because of a moral obligation they felt to defend their country, and some to educate themselves by going through college. And now, when that obligation has been called, they go and serve - despite the fact that many of them don't believe what we're doing is right. That's noble. Our troops are doing their jobs, and upholding their responsibilities - because it's the right thing to do.

Our President is a war monger, and an imperialist. His administration has gone so far as to portray themselves in a few months as "rulers of Iraq." These are Rumsfeld's words, not mine. He said "I don't think the UN wants to be ruling Iraq, so we're going to keep it internal." The last people who did something like that were Milosovich, Hitler, and whoever was in charge of North Korea when they invaded South Korea. We were involved in all three wars - but on the side of the PROTECTION of freedom.

This war is about oil, and about Israel. There's no moral high ground, and I spit on anyone who tries to make me believe there is. So fucking stupid.

This is how I can support our troops and not this stupid, stupid war. They're doing their jobs because they were told to, and that's the noble and honest thing to do. They didn't have a choice about going to Iraq, but they're doing it without whining, without complaining, and pretty fucking well.

Our President is forcing them into this situation - this illegitimate, immoral situation. He has the choice. He is responsible for every person they have to kill, and every civilian life they have to destroy. Because he is the only one with the choice - and he's made it.
