Ok Chris, after your exceptional list of annoying gym stereotypes, I've decided to offer up some of my own people in classes that annoy me.
The unfair advantage: this person has either basically taken the class before, or for some reason knows all the material. Reference - a 5th year spanish speaker taking my italian class. This person convinces the professor that is the fault of the rest of the class that we know nothing, when really this individual is cheating.
The sheltered, jappy girl: This is mostly a problem in my sociology classes. This is the girl who has absolutely no perception of the troubles of people without money. When asked about discrimination, the only thing that will come to mind is women's rights. Attempting to converse with her about race leaves her baffled. This girl is a love/hate relationship because she is almost invariably hot, and as the weather warms wearing less and less.
The workaholic: This student, feeling the "need to get the most out of class money," gets angry and repulsive when students attempt to lighten a class with humor. This student invariably feels morally superior to you, which you know for a fact to be untrue. This student often has trouble in class because he or she is incapable of actually thinking.
The requestioner: This student asks lots of questions. Not generally a problem, except that every question this student asks has been answered within the last five minutes - either directly, in the form of another student's question, or during lecture. This student is a complete and utter waste of time, and makes us all dumber.
The inept TA: Technically not a fellow student of mine, this graduate student is put in charge of a recitation for a class that the university feels is "expendable" - such as an introductory Physics course at a university known for political science and international affairs. This TA has absolutely NO idea what he is doing, either within the subject, as a teacher, or both. This is often coupled with a poor grasp on the english language. Warning signs are failure to solve a problem assigned by the professor, unwitting repetition of material from week to week, and answering questions students didn't ask.
I'm sure I could think of more, but I've got to get to class. With that damn unfair advantage.
