You know, I'm finally figuring out what confuses people about this whole greek thing. It never seemed weird to me, having brothers all across the country - I just hadn't met them yet, like when I pledged. I only knew like half the brothers when I decided to pledge, and I met the rest after I signed on.
It was very weird though to open up Mallory's profile and see "Delta Gamma *Anchor Slam* April 26th." Because today we start the DG Anchor Bowl here. It was weird when Katie pledged Kappa - check her profile though and you'll see what our Kappas here taught us. Suddenly these people that I've known for years and years are joining organizations that I've known for a different year. I knew DG entirely outside the context of home, and consequently Mallory. I knew Kappa as the group they are here, which is effectively completely seperate of Katie's chapter. I live down the hall from Kappas. Now Kate's talking about Kappa. I don't think I have to point out how odd that is.
